• The Waverley Academy Awards Celebration Evening A Princess Called Emily

Part 4 – The Princess Emily Fund.

The Waverley Academy  Awards had another dimension to it – and we were honoured to be able to support a great cause – The Princess Emily Fund Emily Duffy is 3 years of age and lives with her parents Gillian and Robert in Celbridege Co Kildare Emily is battling stage 4 Neuroblastoma, an aggressive type of cancer, and needs funds to send her to America for specialised treatment We became aware of the fund through our friends Prosecco and Heels blog about 3 weeks ago, and asked some of our guests and suppliers to contribute spots prizes for a raffle on the night (with the proceeds going to the fund) We were blown away by the response and had over 30 spot prizes which raised €650 for the fund. Emily’s parents, and the fundraising team, send their heartfelt thanks to all who contributed and that the significant sum collected will take them closer to the specialised treatment that Emily needs. So thank you all so much for making a brilliant night very special, in particular those who contributed spot prizes – you have contributed to a very special cause.
