The Waverley Academy – Supporting Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm At Our Graduate Awards.
Exciting times at The Waverley Academy, we are just days from our awards gala when we celebrate the achievements of our students.
Its also a special night for another reason, as our charity for this years awards will be Pieta House. Pieta House is a non-profit organisation providing a specialised treatment programme for people who have suicidal ideation or who participate in self-harming behaviours.
Since opening its doors in 2006, it has become one of the most important and reputable charities in the country. But here’s the most amazing part: services are free of charge and staff are fully qualified.
However, 80% of their income comes from fundraising events, and they rely heavily on the support of volunteers and fundraising initiatives.
We look forward to helping with the fund raising efforts of Pieta House at our awards gala on the 7th of April in the Louise Fitzgerald hotel, Newlands Cross, Dublin.
